I am DISGUSTED that something as symbolic as Gaston Hall (a place beloved by Georgetown Students and Alum) had to be altered to meet Obama’s needs. Of all the amazing people that I’ve heard speak in that Hall – presidents, statesmen and nobel laureates alike – no one has ever made these kinds of demands. Undoubtedly, many of them were in fact not religious and not catholic (neither of which am I)… I don’t know if I’m more upset that Obama had them alter the room or that the school met his demands. Very sad.
