First Lady Michelle Obama Kicks Off Sesame Street Season Premiere
First Lady Michelle Obama will return to Sesame Street for the season premiere. Last season she starred opposite Elmo in a PSA that encouraged healthy living habits. Now the First Lady is ready to share her White House garden tips, according to Ecorazzi.com.
Obama will teach the furry “residents” of Sesame Street about the benefits of growing veggies and healthy living. She will also show children how to plant tomato, cucumber and lettuce seeds.
“All these seeds need to grow are sun, soil and water. If you eat these healthy foods, you’re going to grow up to be big and strong, like me,” the First Lady says. “I know you’re going to like these vegetables, because in addition to being healthy, they really taste great!”
Actresses Cameron Diaz, Eva Longoria-Parker, UK comedian Ricky Gervais and basketball star Kobe Bryant are also scheduled to appear this season. The 4oth season of Sesame Street will also kick off a new 2-year science initiative titled “My World is Green & Growing.” The season premiere airs November 10th.
I know I’m a little biased, but First Lady Michelle Obama has to be the most awesome First Lady ever. She builds playgrounds, plants gardens, and inspires community service all while being Mom-in-Chief, wife, and a serious fashionista. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, is there anything our First Lady can’t do?
