Sending a Message to Republicans: Your Constituents Support Reform
On Day 7 of the Final March for Reform, OFA volunteers are reaching out to voters in key Republican districts and asking them to call their representative and ask him or her to support health reform. These are districts across the country that voted for President Obama in 2008, but are represented by a Republican in the House of Representatives.
In an email sent out this morning announcing the effort, OFA Director Mitch Stewart explained:
“It’s not too late for Republican representatives to do the right thing for their districts and the nation — we only hope they’re willing to listen to their constituents.
After so many months of work, a final vote could come any day, and every vote in the House could tip the balance.”
